Find Your Perfect Fit
Based on Indian Ministry of Textile body measurement standards
📏 Your Measurements (in inches)
| Size | Bust (Chaati) | Waist (Kamar) | Hips (Kaul) | Height |
|---|
Bust (Chaati) is your primary measurement for kurtas and suits. For palazzos and skirts, go by Hips (Kaul).
• Use a non-stretch measuring tape — cloth tape can give wrong readings
• Measure wearing your bra, not over thick clothing
• Kisi ki help lein — self-measurement mein 1–2 inch ka difference aa sakta hai
• Measure in the morning when your body is least bloated
🤔 Between two sizes?
If your bust is 38–39", go with Size 40 (L). In ethnic wear, a slightly larger size drapes better and looks more elegant. Tight feels uncomfortable — thoda loose is always fine.
🍐 Pear shape (Naashipati) — hips wider than bust
Choose Anarkali or A-line kurtas sized for your hips. Kamarband ya belt se waist define karein — it creates a beautiful silhouette. Fitted tops with flared bottoms work really well.
🍎 Apple shape (Seb) — fuller midsection
Empire waist and flowy styles are your best bet. Straight-cut kurtas avoid karein — A-line and Anarkali silhouettes are far more flattering. Darker shades at the midsection add great definition.
⏳ Hourglass (Ghada) — balanced proportions
Almost any style will look great on you. Fitted kurtas with straight salwars accentuate your figure. Wrap styles and belted kurtas are especially flattering.
📏 Petite — height 5'2" (158cm) se neeche
Go for knee-length or midi kurtas over floor-length ones. Vertical prints and small motifs create the illusion of height. Wide-leg palazzos avoid karein — straight or slim fit looks much better.
